Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the CanalAPI platform. By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CanalAPI, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the service. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and CanalAPI Co., Ltd., a Japan-registered corporation.
2. Description of Service
CanalAPI provides a unified API gateway that aggregates access to 600+ AI language models from multiple upstream providers. The service is provided on an OpenAI-compatible API interface and is intended for software developers and businesses. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
3. Payment & Credits
CanalAPI operates on a prepaid credit system. Credits are purchased in advance and deducted based on actual API usage. Credits do not expire. Failed API requests are not billed. We accept Alipay, WeChat Pay, and Stripe. All prices are displayed in USD; equivalent amounts in JPY or CNY are calculated at the prevailing exchange rate. We issue qualified Japanese tax invoices (適格請求書) upon request.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You must not share your API keys with unauthorized parties or use the service for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for all usage that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@canalapi.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Acceptable Use
You may not use CanalAPI to: generate content that violates applicable laws or regulations; infringe intellectual property rights; engage in spam or automated abuse; attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls; reverse engineer the platform; or access the API in a manner that violates upstream providers' terms of service. Violation may result in immediate account suspension.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT RESULTS OBTAINED WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
7. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
